Three steps
How it works
Apply
Tell us who you are and where you would share your code. When you join, we create a code for you.
Share your code or link
Share the code itself, or a link with the code built in, such as thorntonortega.com/?code=YOURCODE: the code works on a link to any page of the site, and is then filled in for your reader at checkout.
Get paid
Payouts: how and when you are paid is agreed by email when you join.
On a $6.99 book
A worked example
With your code, your reader gets 10% off every book in the order, on top of any promotion that is on: a $6.99 book costs $6.29, and during a 20% promotion, $5.59 becomes $5.03. One code per order.

What you earn
Your commission
You earn 25% of net sales made with your code: the amount your readers actually paid, after the discount, minus anything refunded and any chargeback. For the $6.29 book above, that is $1.57.
A sale counts once it is completed and can no longer be refunded under our Refund Policy, that is, 14 days after the purchase. Refunded sales and chargebacks don't count.
How and when you are paid, and the details we need for it, are agreed by email when you join.
Before you share
The rules
Say that you earn a commission.
Wherever you share your code or link, tell your audience clearly that you are paid when they buy with it, as the US Federal Trade Commission's rules on endorsements require.
For example: “I earn a commission if you buy with my code.”
No spam.
Don't send your code in messages people didn't ask for: email, texts, comments or direct messages.
No misleading claims
about our books, their prices or the discount, and don't present yourself as Thornton & Ortega.
No purchases with your own code.
Your code is for your audience, not for your own orders.
We may turn off a code that breaks these rules.

How to apply
Email us at [email protected]. Tell us who you are, where you would share your code (your site, newsletter or channels), and the code you would like. We will reply with your code and agree on the payout details with you.
